This interview was great! And thanks to Amanda for recommending me. I love so many of these writers already and am looking forward to getting to know the rest!
Amanda - that terrifying snow skiing story got me - holy bananas!!
Julie - so nice to meet you and thank you for featuring Amanda. I recommend her substack more than any other! I love what you say about hope making us feel empowered. That is always how I feel when I finish reading her work. Amazing interview.
Thank you Julie and Amanda for this wonderful interview โ Amandaโs raising up the work of those finding solutions builds the hope we need to keep walking, making the paths by walking together. Really appreciate Amandaโs list of other Substackers! Looking forward to reading more!
I love Earth Hope! One of my favorite reads each week. And Iโm thrilled to see others agreeโbeing reminded of the good possible is essential to keep our hearts and hands rallying for this beautiful earth.
โThereโs always an embrace that nature will give you, should you be willing to step outside and listen and accept its arms around you.โ Well said. I have spent most of my life doing just that. If you are physically able, walk over to your front door ( donโt forget a comfy pair of shoes) open the door, step outside, now keep walking. Family motto. I have many โhappy placesโ out there, backcountry skiing is at the top of them ( top of the mountain). Thank you Amanda and Julie. I was going to save this interview to read later, but once I started reading, well, you know the scenario, when it is that good, you canโt stop. And thanks , Amanda for the recommendations. I read a few of the same on Substack. Some, I have read and communicated with for so long, they feel like good friends that I have never hugged before. I would add a few more to your list and why, but this comment would be entirely too long.
Long comments always welcome, Lor! As you described going outside, I thought of a mentor of mine who says, stepping out of your house is really more like going *inside*. I always think of that. Thanks for being here and Iโm so glad you enjoyed this. ๐

Wonderful! I always appreciate the boost from Amandaโs posts. ๐
Loved this entire interview. And this: โThe planet cannot afford for the most educated and wealthy people living on it to be depressed.โ Yup!
RIGHT?! So many precious nuggets like that. Thanks for being here, Leah. ๐
Yes. Itโs one of many!
This whole interview is so filled with hope and positivity... I love every word!
Thank you Amanda and Julie for sharing words filled with positivity when so much appears to be crumbling around us! This world needs you! ๐๐ผ
I'm so glad it's a boost, Susie. I agree - there's good news out there, so why not hear about it?
Amanda is fantastic! Big supporter of her work. Very honoured to be among such esteemed company.
