Julie, you make my heart sing. Thank you for the inclusion and thank you for introducing me to more nature writers. People who give me hope with their shared words and perspective. This listing feels so very hopeful. Pictures painted by the writers that are green and beautiful with possibility.
I agree!! It feels GOOD to put this together - both b/c I get to revisit my favorite posts from the past month+ and knowing they work magic together. As soon as I began to read yours about PLAY, I knew it had to be included. 💚 There is a thread of joy running through a lot of these.
Woah… Julie thank you so much for the shout out amidst so many amazing nature lovers… and for including an image from one of my favorite misty mornings ever!
I love the Perseid meteror shower and always seek out a special place to watch it from. This year, I backpacked with friends to the top of Telescope Peak, the 11,000-foot mountain in Death Valley National Park. It was 109 degrees in the valley, but cool up high. Best light show in the world.
So grateful to be included among such good company. Especially enjoyed the dragonflies. A species of meadowhawk migrates along our coast and I've managed to witness it a few times, but this swarm looked absolutely wild. Thank you for your work in compiling all of these nature goodies for us, Julie.💚
Ooh, wow, what a lovely selection. And how much optimism do I feel about the possibility of more people finding re-enchantment with land -- and, maybe more importantly, knowing they're not alone in it?

Wow!! That sounds amazing!
Also footnote #8!!! Why are you buried in a footnote, Julie? Everyone go read that story!
Can’t compete with Moby

Yes. Yes. 💯
Thank you for including In This Ravishing World and for your kind words! So grateful!
Thanks for writing it! It’s such an enjoyable read. I had quite an insight about my own teaching based on Ava’s love for her students.
So cool! A reminder that you never know what will resonate.
Well, Julie, my afternoon is now completely spoken for. What a fabulous edition. 🐌
Happy reading!
Thanks for including me here, Julie. There's some great company here.
On an unrelated note, I see the footnote bug has struck. It's hard to shake.
I’ve been suffering for nearly a year. Will never go back. 😂
