Gosh. All animals! But lately I've been thinking a lot about insects, even the ones that we squished as kids because that's what our parents did. I just don't have the heart to do anything but bring them outdoors now, especially with their populations waning. So if you have any fun stories about insect intelligence, I'd love to share your wisdom with my husband who laughs at me every time I run to the door with a spider.
I do have one already posted about Bees and Butterflies. You can start there but I've got some data on some of the 'less loved insects' that I'll pull something together from.
One word: gorgeous!!!!!!!
Thank you so much! It means a lot coming from someone who's writing is so consistently beautiful
Oh my goodness, thank you Dawn! <3
Thank you for this lovely interview. Subscribed! I love anyone who is keen to explore the wisdom of animals. A woman after my own heart. 💛
Welcome to a you, a fellow animal intelligence explorer. Let me know if there are any particular animals you'd like me to explore!

Wonderful! I have one of your posts saved to read later today but will find the one on bees and butterflies now too. ;)
Girl, same! 💚
I really like this quote: "Reading slowly to savor his beautiful interpretations of the land, love of the world and advocacy for wild places."
Thank you! I'm now beginning my second reading and realizing how much I missed on the first round. Barry Lopez's voice is sorely missed
This is spurring me to read him again. Thanks!
Me too. Adding to the never-getting-any-shorter list. He is a writer that needs to be returned to now and again.
