Julie, once again You draw us the whole image so impeccably, I especially love Grace's self questioning, her inner dialogue! This is such a beautiful chapter and yes, as Kimberly said, perhaps transformative too?

What a heartening, transformational chapter! From Grace’s slow, reluctant letting go of her mother to the initial steamy moments with Ned to the softening and opening of Grace’s most hidden self—it seems life is setting Grace up for some big psychological shifts soon. I love how you describe the sadness room and that fleeting moment when “Sunlight illuminates an empty, white, birdless space. A safe space…” I felt that one in my own lungs, a momentary freedom or glimpse at what’s possible. So beautiful Julie!

I so appreciate your thoughtful notes, Kim. Your encouragement helps me carry forward. I’m glad this one resonates, both the hard and the soft parts of Grace’s journey.
